Yes, this is a selfie I took in my car, but that’s only because I look like a serial killer in every headshot I’ve ever had.

I'm a content, marketing, and branding strategist, director, editor, writer. That's a lot of commas, so let me break it down: I figure out exactly how to tell a story for maximum impact, and make a plan for executing it. That might be writing one piece of content or orchestrating a multi-front content plan and leading a team to express a brand's core values on internal and external platforms, through media relations, and within product experiences.

I have over a decade of experience in building highly engaging content ecosystems in digital media, tech, and lifestyle brands. I love to build scalable, growth-oriented editorial strategies, and bring some nice vibes and a collaborative energy to the in-house marketing, content, and creative teams I work with. I hope that working with me makes people feel challenged, uniquely and demonstrably valued, and personally invested in the (extremely good) work we're creating.

My superpower is taking the DNA of a brand and conceptualizing and building how that brand is expressed at every audience touchpoint: web content, blog posts, social media, email, visual branding, PR, thought leadership, interactive content, podcasts, videos, copywriting, and pretty much any facet of how a brand expresses itself. I like to build good stories, make brands trustworthy and lovable, and leave the teams I work with a little happier and more inspired than I found them.

I’ve been published in The New York Times, The Atlantic, Glamour, InStyle, HuffPost, and more. I was one of the first Senior Editors at Bustle, after which I went on to be Editor-in-Chief of The Frisky and Managing Editor of Refinery29. Other roles: Editorial Director at Wealthfront, VP of Content at Twenty, and VP of Brand + Content at HeyMama.

I live half in San Francisco, half in Brooklyn. I’m from Atlanta. I inexplicably have Vincent D’Onofrio’s number in my phone; I text him roughly once a year to say hi.

(The rest of the team’s bios are coming soon, we promise. We’re too busy doing everyone else’s content to finish our own.)
