Facebook ads stopped trying to force-feed me engagement rings after it realized I was pregnant. So basically, the ad robots now either think I’ve snuck off and gotten married without telling the internet, OR that I’m spoiled goods and they shouldn’t waste their diamond ads on me and my ruined, whore self. Either way, I’m grateful for the removal of a daily temptation to blow my savings on sweet, sweet shiny things (it’s fun to pretend I have a “savings”.)

I’m not a supporter of any legislation that reenforces a policy of government control over people’s bodies. I’m also a huge pro-choice advocate. That said, I really hope that women would not choose to have an abortion after 20 weeks. It’s a fuzzy line to draw and I don’t pretend to know the right answer, but I do know that 4-weeks from viability is too late. At some point, it really does stop being all about your choice about your own body, and more about respecting the other body that you have made a choice to share your space with. (and yes, spending 5 months wallowing in indecision is still making a choice, just in the most passive, pussy way possible.) But like I said, fuzzy, fuzzy line and a complex issue.
Anyway, between anti-choice proponents and now this woman who thinks that proposing an openly-bogus-I’m-just-here-to-prove-a-point bill against vasectomies, the GA legislature chock full of the usual bullshit where even our progressive reps don’t seem to have a clue. I, for one, find at least a little comfort in the consistency of the shit show that is lawmaking in GA. (Your heart’s in the right place, Miz Neal, but your execution is awkward and ineffective.)
